Dr. Emelia Winston’s hometown is Alexandria, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed her OB-GYN residency at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia prior to joining Women’s Health Advantage in 2020.
Dr. Winston is Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of the Laborist Programs at Dupont and Lutheran Hospitals.
She has been with the Army National Guard since 2001 and was deployed to Kosovo in 2006. She loves to travel and try new cuisines, practice knitting/crocheting, photography and reading different genre of novels. She also likes to spend time with her husband and two daughters. Lastly, she also enjoys participating in medical mission trips.
Special interests include obstetrics, menopausal issues, office gynecology procedures, minimally invasive surgeries including DaVinci robotic surgeries.
