Dr. Derrick Sanderson is originally from Hartford, Wisconsin. He received his undergraduate degree from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin and his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sanderson completed his OB-GYN residency at the University at Buffalo (SUNY) Sisters of Charity Hospital Program in Buffalo, New York. He completed fellowship training in Advanced Gynecologic and Robotic Surgery at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville, NY and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. Dr. Sanderson previously worked in Newburgh, Indiana before joining Women’s Health Advantage in 2021.
Dr. Sanderson is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Urogynecologic Association (AUGS).
In his free time, Dr. Sanderson enjoys time spent with his family. They love traveling and outdoor activities. He is an avid soccer fan and even played four years of varsity soccer in college.
