Emelia Winston, DO

Dr. Emelia Winston’s hometown is Alexandria, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed her OB-GYN residency at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia prior to joining Women’s Health Advantage in 2020.

Dr. Winston is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of the Laborist Program at Dupont Hospital.

She has been with the Army National Guard since 2001 and was deployed to Kosovo in 2006. She loves to travel and try new cuisines, practice knitting/crocheting, photography and reading different genre of novels. She also likes to spend time with her husband and two daughters. Lastly, she also enjoys participating in medical mission trips.

Special interests include obstetrics, office gynecology procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries, including DaVinci robotic surgeries.

Dr. Winston listened to my concerns about my reproductive health and treated me like a human being and gave me feedback with reasons behind it. I cannot recommend her highly enough and I will forever stay with her!

Dr. Winston has a great bedside manner. She is very personable as well as knowledgeable.
